Okey, this is all about it at the moment...As you can see I don't have many plans, I've heard that a few people have vaccation and that a few of you are working. So when can I see you guys, and more specifically where? In Búdardal, or Reykjavík or Akureyri...what are your plans guys?
And I've heard about verslumannahelgi, when is it and what's it about?

It all started 2. august 872. Two years erlier than Hrafna-Floki found Iceland...
Or the true story...
August´s first weekwnd in the Icelandic calendar is called verslunarmannahelgi, shopowners weekend. It was a tradition that shopowners took the monday off aswell to have a little vacation, later it turned around, now everybody have this weekend off except shopowners and teir staff and doctors and police offisers and that kind of people, some people take thursday and friday off aswell so it can be a five day weekend. There are festivals all around Iceland, the biggest ones are Thjoðhatið in Vestmannaeyjar and sometimes there are big festivals in Akureyri aswell and also some festival at Galtalækur for those who belive that alcahol is a product of the devil, they join there to support each others weirdness and compete in being boring and so on and so on... In Vestmannaeyjar and on such big festivals it´s mostly young people who bring tent, sleeping bag, guitar (those who can play guitar) and lots lots of beer and other alcaholic products. The big TV screen in Galtalækur is turned off while some news and pictures from Vestmannaeyjar are shown in the TV so the people ther won´t have nightmares. On sunday night in Vestmannaeyjar they light up a big fire and shoot up fireworks so the valley where the festival is lightens up, everybody are sitting in a slope watching down to the stage and singing, all in one choir, controlled by a criminal who knows two grips on his guitar. It´s a really nice life, you can have beer for brekfast and nobody thinks you´re an alcaholic. I managed to fall off a cliff straight to a fence around the football course so I had my face sewed together again but it was allright because it was verslunarmannahelgi. B.t.w. my workmates name is Helgi and he doesn´t like to be called Verslunarmanna-Helgi.
And I think that´s about almost every thing that I can tell you about verslunarmannahelgi.
Please dont ask about Christmas, that´s longer and more boring story...
